A place that I see aesthetically beautiful is the white water park.  I've always lived right down the road from it and for my environmental science class in high school we would always take trips down to the park.  I find it beautiful because everywhere you look you see something that you may not have noticed before and its all just nature no one has made improvements to it.

Snow can be very beautiful when looked at in the right way.  My favorite way to view snow is early in the morning during sunrise right after it has finished falling.  This is the time when it is freshest and at is most pure.  At this time the snow is untouched and the sun reflects off it.  The snow at this point reminds me of a world untouched by mankind.  As the day progresses we walk, drive, and play in the snow corrupting it and turning it into brown mush.  A day of fresh snow represents a new world be corrupted by humans.  And in this I see beauty.

For someone to say that one thing is aesthetically beautiful and for something to be ugly, can all be how you view it. For some, it is knowing the science and information behind it, and for others it is what triggers the emotion. When looking at my hometown, you see a small little run down town, but that isn't all of it. If you look past the shady or closed buildings, and look at the character behind it, you see true beauty. Look beyond the garbage or small things, and look at the different people that create the character and memories in this town. Look along the hidden parks and pathways, at the mosaics of the churches, all the beautiful flowers and trees along the houses, and the different types of people making up the town. This is where you will find beauty.

People from all cultures and walks of life have a place in which aesthetics and tranquility are combined to form one unforgettable experience. Keeneland Horsepark is that very experience for me. However, many would argue that it is not the most tranquil of places! Crowds roaring, horses stomping, and the rustling of dollar bills are all intriguing sounds that make up the buzz of thoroughbred racing. Located in the heart of Lexington Kentucky, Keeneland embodies everything that a high class venue stands for when it comes to the sport. Upon entering the vicinity, you are engulfed with not only the excitement of it all, but with the beauty of the establishment itself. Breathtaking mosses and vines can be seen stretched out across the building of the main entrance, and quickly one starts to realize that the horses are racing in a world of royals. Personally, it is one of my greatest escapes from reality. It is a chance for me to forget the stresses of the "real world" and to concentrate on only having the best time possible. Bow ties, sport coats, and sundresses become the fashion for the day, and I wouldn't have it any other way. A winning bet just sums up the success of such a day, and provides you with an attitude that resembles the confidence of an Olympian. I consider myself very lucky to have such an amazing place to enjoy the tradition that makes my home state great.

The conversations in class have been circulating around whether or not something is able to be aesthetically appreciated and if so, the correct way of appreciating it.  It has opened my eyes to how things such as a drive to school everyday can be seen as beautiful, when most view it as a hassle and irritating.  When I drive the thirty to forty minutes to school everyday, I find the ride very relaxing.  The views I experience as I drive 275 loop day in and out do seem beautiful regardless of if there is a dead animal lying on the side of the road, a broken down vehicle, or the late night drive where it is just me and the road are essentially able to be appreciated aesthetically.

A place that I find aesthetically beautiful is Hilton Head Island, South Carolina. My family has had a time share there since I was very young. It is a place that as a family we can get away and enjoy each other’s company. There are many things in nature that you can see in Hilton Head that cannot be seen in Cincinnati. Beauties in nature down there are things such as the beach and ocean.

Another place that I find aesthetically beautiful is my room. My room is a place that I can get away from everyone and think freely. It is quiet and I can get things done like homework without any disturbances. When I am in my room it is my own space and I can do whatever I want.
