Fredrick Church Painting I am particularly fond of. It seems what is environmentally aesthetic doesn't just represent a pretty landscape. Perhaps it allows a person to realize how small and insignificant they are in regards to something majestic. For a moment I stopped thinking about myself.

I wholeheartedly agree with your assessment of this particular painting. Although we may not be able to always live amongst the "natural world," we can find its beauty in other places (such as art, film, music, etc.). In fact, I feel as though nature will always supercede the human experience because of its magnificence and the mysteries within it.
