“There is no Sleepy Hollow on the Internet, no peaceful spot where contemplativeness can work its restorative magic. There is only the endless, mesmerizing buzz of the urban street.” Nicholas Carr, from The Shallows: What the Internet is Doing to Our Brains (New York: Norton, 2010)

At least once per year I travel to Madison, Wisconsin to see my family that lives up there. It's a very rural 8 hour drive. On the way there through Illinois I always enjoy seeing the high powered windmills. The first time I saw one I was very shocked because I had never seen one before, and in Illinois there are farms of these things. They go on for about an hour of the drive in Illinois, and it's quite a sight when you're driving by them. The one thing that people may not know about them is there size, because they are huge and when you're right next to one you feel miniature.
