My older brother moved to North Carolina about 3 almost 4 years ago. He had been to Charolette on business and fell in love with the city, mainly because its everything that our hometown of Cincinnati wasn't. My family took a trip to see him last year over Easter Break, and I have never seen a city like it. There are parks with beautiful sculptures in the middle of industrialized business areas, there is no trash anywhere to be found except in prpoper trashcans, the people there don't look like they want to mug you as they do in downtown Cincinnati. Everyone walks to work, and while we were visiting, the weather couldn't of been more perfect so we had to walk everywhere and enjoy it. There's something about visiting a new place, where everything seems to have a more unique meaning and importance, even if you've seen it in your own town or city. Before he just reccently moved, behind his old appartment was a railway that people could take to work. It was amazing how many people actually were driving on the roads; almost none. And not far from his place was the baseball stadium, and along with that, the whole city seems to be awake: with the sound of talking and cars and the lights of the city.
I would highly recommend a mini vacation here.
