“There is no Sleepy Hollow on the Internet, no peaceful spot where contemplativeness can work its restorative magic. There is only the endless, mesmerizing buzz of the urban street.” Nicholas Carr, from The Shallows: What the Internet is Doing to Our Brains (New York: Norton, 2010)

Blog 9-Understanding of Reality
Recently we have discussed what is defined by reality. I had a section in Bugbee's book that talked about reality and how we have to encounter it. We have "to accept ourselves" in order to fully understand our reality and I find a lot of truth in that. Understanding reality seems complicated, but really it's simple by saying that reality is a taking in of what we understand and really reflect what it means to be here. Bugbee explained well what it means to be in reality, and it is important that we understand that. I really liked the section I had and it is interesting the perspective he takes on.
