In response to reading Dr. Langguth's post about the congressman who wants to sell off parts of national parks, I think that is completely absurd!! We have more than enough land that is underdeveloped or not even developed at all that does not interfere with the habitats that removing pieces of a national park would have. People already complain about how there are too many wild animals running around, such as deer, coyotes, foxes, etc. If the congressman is able to do as he wishes, and receives the support he needs, do people not realize that the animals that will have been living in those areas, they will need somewhere to go...;so where will they go? They'll go to the exact places we don't want them to go, to the roads causing accidents, our backyards, eating our flowers and trees, etc. National parks are home to many animals as well as beautiful areas. To remove this just so that development can occur, because the U.S. isn't developed enough of course!, would not be the greatest idea. The beauty that will be lost, as well as the home to many creatures.

  1. I completely agree with this. Have we gotten to the point where we are so greedy that we need to take the homes of animals? What's next, making them pay rent?
