Another experience that could be considered is as an aesthetic experience was when I traveled to Puerto Rico last January. But, the experience could have been more aesthetically pleasing to me then it would have been if I would have taken the trip when it was summer here. The warm, 85 degree weather down there in January made the experience more pleasing for me because I hate being cold. There was some sense of pleasing only by the change in temperatures outside. “There is no Sleepy Hollow on the Internet, no peaceful spot where contemplativeness can work its restorative magic. There is only the endless, mesmerizing buzz of the urban street.” Nicholas Carr, from The Shallows: What the Internet is Doing to Our Brains (New York: Norton, 2010)
