“There is no Sleepy Hollow on the Internet, no peaceful spot where contemplativeness can work its restorative magic. There is only the endless, mesmerizing buzz of the urban street.” Nicholas Carr, from The Shallows: What the Internet is Doing to Our Brains (New York: Norton, 2010)

Blog #9
Another place i find aesthetically pleasing is the woods behind my cousins house. When i was younger we would go deep into the woods all the time and go explore. I learned about many different types of trees and plants, and also to never go near the poison ivy. We knew every inch of those woods and never got lost. I recently went back into the woods the last time i was there and it has completely changed. It had a very different feel to it than what i had remembered. It was very apparent that time changes a lot of things.
