“There is no Sleepy Hollow on the Internet, no peaceful spot where contemplativeness can work its restorative magic. There is only the endless, mesmerizing buzz of the urban street.” Nicholas Carr, from The Shallows: What the Internet is Doing to Our Brains (New York: Norton, 2010)

With baseball in full swing, I remember my days as a child growing up in Erlanger learning how to play. My dad would take me up to this old abandoned field that was located near our house and we would practice from the time he got home until it got dark outside. I remember my dog going and chasing all the balls i would hit in the thick outfield grass. The smell of the grass and trees is something i will never forget.
