“There is no Sleepy Hollow on the Internet, no peaceful spot where contemplativeness can work its restorative magic. There is only the endless, mesmerizing buzz of the urban street.” Nicholas Carr, from The Shallows: What the Internet is Doing to Our Brains (New York: Norton, 2010)

Blog #5
In my hometown, there is a busy city street, but if you turn down my road, it turns into rolling farmland. There is a horse farm located about a mile down the road. It is nice to be able to walk down the road and see someone riding horseback instead of the dreary cars passing by constantly. This brings me back to the beauty of nature and how it has transformed throughout the years.
